Scope

The journal focuses on recent developments in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other Chinese communities in the fields of economics, politics, law, education and health, environment, literature, cultural studies, and the arts. In addition to publishing articles on social science topics, the journal also covers legal studies, geography, and city planning. The journal also contains a book review section with reviews of recently published books not only in the English-speaking world but also in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, France, and the German-speaking areas.
